What would be the normal career progression available to me at MEDCON FINANCIAL SERVICES (Medcon)?
Those that start as a Medical Biller would seek to advance to an Account Rep. Account Reps have complete accountability for all daily billing functions and have more client contact. The next step up from an Account Rep is Manager- Managers supervise staff and are held accountable for all client needs and subordinate work credibility. The highest level of attainment here at Medcon is Director. Directors are responsible for overseeing all client relations, reporting, employee hiring and performance reviews and cash management.
I am seeking an early schedule, is that something you could offer me?
Yes- there are employees that start work as early as 7:00am; we are, by nature of the business, an early company. Normally, we will be able to offer you early hours if you seek an early schedule.
Will I have my own account? Or will I be working in a group setting?
That will vary by department. Some departments have larger accounts and so more than one person will work on them, whereas, some accounts are small-to mid size and therefore, one person may be able to handle the work load. Regardless, both types of positions can be challenging and rewarding.
What is the environment like at MEDCON FINANCIAL SERVICES
Medcon has a very relaxed environment. Employees can dress business casual M-TH and can wear jeans and sneakers on Fridays.
When can I expect to get a bonus
Attaining a bonus is directly related to you (or your team) surpassing your cash goal. Bonus payouts are given to the Director. The Director than divides it out among the group accordingly.
